The Trouble with Trust

I was cheated and almost sold to a nightclub.

“There are various experiences that I had in Malaysia. I was almost being sold to a nightclub and was taken away by taxi driver. I was afraid to make any friends with anyone because I’ve been backstabbed by my own friend in the past. I’m afraid to trust other people since I’ve been deceived by other people that I know but I keep on being positive. I just keep praying and be kind to others. I used to work in a restaurant and the salary I received was just enough for my expenses but after being offered to another job with a higher salary, I quit and followed the recruiter to Kuala Lumpur. Then, I found out that I was cheated and almost sold to a nightclub. Since then I’m afraid to accept any job offers and I was looking for jobs at a phone shop. Although the salary is not high but at least I’m safe. As a foreign worker, I am often underestimated by people around me but I feel we should be smart enough to not let people easily walk all over me. Also,I love that I have learned to trust people with my heart, even if it will get broken.”
