The process to get to Kuala Lumpur was not easy.
“I have just arrived in Kuala Lumpur. Before this, I worked in Sibu and the salary that I received in Sibu was not as much as the one that I receive in Kuala Lumpur. Surely life in Sibu was quieter, as there are not as many buildings as in Kuala Lumpur. People always think that Kuala Lumpur is a perfect place to earn extra money and it’s definitely the right place for me, who desperately needs money.
The process to get to Kuala Lumpur was not easy. I had to act like a foreign tourist and come to Kuala Lumpur in order to stay here. But I am given a chance to choose between Kuala Lumpur and Indonesia, I would like to live in Indonesia with my 2 children but I have no other choice because of the low salaries.
My two kids are still small, thus I return to the village once a year every Eid. I was thinking of bringing my kids to Malaysia but I do not want to be selfish. I want my children to have a proper life so I asked my mother for help until I return back to Indonesia.”
