Hypnotised and Robbed

“I didn’t remember anything until it was over and I realised I was in Cheras and all my money was gone.”

“I send money back to Indonesia to my family every month. Usually, I will go to the remittance services agency during the weekend by bus. This is because I had very bad experience when I was on my way back home after work. I was hypnotised by a man who approached me from behind. I didn’t remember anything until it was over and I realised I was in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. All my money was gone. I later learned that he also made me withdraw all my money from my bank account and give it to him while I was under his ‘spell’.

I never thought of an easy way to get money and I don’t know why some people have the guts to rob. Maybe they need money but that’s not the right way! I always remind myself to stay as humble as I can and never show off anything that I have. I believe I am still traumatised by the experience. Even now, I’m afraid to walk alone without a partner. But luckily for me, my husband understands and he fetches me from my workplace everyday I finish work.”
