Hard Work Pays Off

I am very grateful for what I have and 20 years of struggles slowly paid off.

“It has been 20 years since I started to live in Malaysia. I’ve been doing a lot of work, from a factory girl, selling food until now, working as a cleaner. I am very grateful for what I have and 20 years of struggles slowly paid off. Our financial condition in the village is getting better, my son is able to finish his school and is preparing for his final examination.

I am lucky that my husband also works in Malaysia and together we contribute to send money to our children. I don’t mind the struggles and hardship in order to guarantee the future of our family. This is my definition of sacrifice during the Eid-ul Adha. Although every time I’m not with my kids, I always remember them in memory and pray that one day our family will be reunited. “
